ADAM LEWINSON

Criminal Defense Attorney

Education

Adam's career began where few attorneys dare to start — in the trenches of the public defender's office, where the caseloads are heavy and the stakes are real.

As an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando's 9th Circuit, Adam represented thousands of indigent clients across county court, traffic court, juvenile court, and circuit felony. He completed more than twenty-five jury trials and five bench trials, filed and argued substantive constitutional motions, and ultimately advanced to representing clients charged with first and second-degree felonies.

He then joined the Office of Criminal Conflict, 5th District, where he managed an average caseload of seventy clients across every circuit judge in Orange County — representing individuals facing charges from third-degree felonies to life felonies.

The foundation of thousands of cases, dozens of trials, and years of courtroom experience before ever entering private practice is what sets Adam apart.

Since founding Lewinson Law and returning to Jacksonville in 2024, Adam has taken two cases to jury trial, both resulting in Not Guilty verdicts. He has obtained dismissals or successfully negotiated plea deals for more than one hundred clients. He currently represents clients across Alachua, Baker, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Gilchrest, Nassau, and St. Johns County
